The Macao Science Center organizes the “2015 Macao Science Center Multimedia Design Contest” to encourage the public to be more aware of science in our everyday lives, and through creativity and science technology to promote science education. Not only do the participants have the opportunity to win prizes, their awarded works might also be selected for public display at the Center to share their creative results with the visitors. 

There are two categories in this contest: the “Science Education Video and Model Making” and the “Short Video Production”. Local Macao Secondary students or individuals are welcome to register for the “Science Education Video and Model Making” category, while local Macao tertiary education students or local Macao residents who are interested in the production of short video are welcome to join the “Short Video Production” category. Each participant will receive two sets of Macao Science Center Exhibition Center and Planetarium coupons once they register for the contest. The winner of “Science Education Video and Model Making” will have the opportunity to be invited to display the awarded piece of work at the Macao Science Center’s booth at the “International Museum Day” event in May next year. The winners of the first, second and third prizes will receive monetary prizes. 

“2015 Macao Science Center Multimedia Design Contest” will open for entries on 3 December. Registration form and regulations can be downloaded from the Center’s website (http://www.msc.org.mo/mdc2015 ). Two information sessions will be held at the Convention Center at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 3 December and Thursday, 4 December respectively, to clarify the themes and format requirements to those who are interested to join this multimedia design contest.
