To raise public awareness of the history and development of the locksmith industry in Macao, and to rekindle the olden days with a choice collection of old locks. Starting today, Macao Science Center (MSC) launches an “Old Locks Collection Campaign” until 10 September. All are welcome to join. 

Participants should submit photos and background stories of one or more old locks by email (activity@msc.org.mo) or to the Inbox of the Center’s facebook page. Our staff shall contact the participants later to explain in details the borrowing and collection of the locks. The old locks collected from this campaign are likely to be showcased in the second phase of “Know Your Locks & Keys”- Locks and Security Exhibition. All participants who have sucessfully submitted photos and information of their locks shall receive 2 MSC ticket vouchers. Once a lock is chosen for exhibition, the participant will receive a souvenir from the Center. 

Submission Guidelines: 

Please send photos and the following information of the lock(s) by email activity@msc.org.mo or to the Inbox of MSC’s facebook page: 1) Year of production/period when the lock was used, 2) location, 3) information of the people related to the lock(s), 4) participant’s name 5) contact phone number and 6) email. 

Photo Requirement: 

Images should be submitted in jpg, tif or png formats. Please indicate “Macao Science Center Old Locks Collection Campaign”in the subject of email or message.
