As the epidemic of novel coronavirus pneumonia in Macao eases, the Center will revise its opening hours and resume part of its services starting from March 9.

The opening hours of the Center will be revised to 10am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm starting from March 9. Cleaning and disinfection will be done between the two sessions. Tickets are available from 10 am daily and the number of tickets to the Exhibition Center is limited to 200 per session, while stocks last. MSC Kids World, Fun Science Gallery, Children Science Gallery and Gallery 6 will be temporarily closed. Demonstrations, workshops, science dramas, dramatic guided tours, group booking services and some exhibits will also be suspended. Visitors are advised to heed the notices on site and follow the instructions from staff.

In addition, the planetarium will reduce the number of programs and offer 2D dome shows only to avoid the health risks that may occur when the audience uses 3D glasses. The seating plan has been changed to ensure proper distance between audience. The number of audience allowed per show is limited to 40% of the total number of seats available.

To keep the facility clean and to avoid mass gathering of visitors, the Center will not only clean and disinfect the exhibits and equipment frequently but will implement crowd control measures in public areas such as the Exhibition Center, Planetarium and Gift Shop. Visitors should wear their own masks, take a temperature test, complete electronic personal health declaration, and use alcohol hand sanitizer to disinfect their hands before purchasing tickets. Those who have fever and show symptoms of respiratory infection will be denied entry and shall seek medical attention promptly. The Center asks visitors to wear masks throughout their stay and observe good personal hygiene at all times. Visitors may use the alcohol hand rubs located at the main entrance, Exhibition Center and gift shop to disinfect their hands whenever necessary.
