To celebrate the Easter holidays, the Macao Science Center has arranged various wonderful events. From April 15 to 18, a STEAM Easter Egg Challenge will be held in Gallery 2 of the Center, where participants can perform a simple science experiment of turning ordinary eggshells into glittering “crystal caves”, accept the egg gravity challenge and create dazzling “Nebula Easter Eggs” under the guidance of our staff. The event is open for registration from April 6. The registration fee is MOP100. Children aged 4 to 12 and their parents are welcome to take part in the event (registration link: https://sites.google.com/view/mscactivity/). All children participating in the event must be accompanied by a parent.

From April 15 to 18, the Macao Science Center will set up a free “Easter Egg Painting Workshop” in the Lobby Exhibition Gallery, where children can paint their own Easter egg-shaped ornaments. At the same time, Easter-themed coloring paper and crayons will be available for children to color pictures. In addition, the Macao tourism mascot Mak Mak will be at the Center from April 15 to 18 in the afternoon to take photos with us and make the festive more cheerful. The Macao Science Center will hold a prize game called “Easter Egg Battle” on its WeChat subscription account.

In addition to the above activities, visitors may also visit Gallery 2 for the “Data Science - Internet of Things” special exhibition and enjoy a distinctive guided tour of drama, understanding the latest developments in the information industry and the impact of the Internet of Things on life and urban development. From April 5, the special exhibition “Macao Colors of Mak Mak” will be held in Gallery 6, which will introduce Macao's cultural heritage, food, wetlands and starry sky to visitors through VR and AR interactive technologies. The three-dimensional dome show Magic Globe 3D recently is on in the Planetarium, which is very suitable for parents and children to watch together. It tells the story of a little girl, Mia, who uses a mysterious astronomical machine to change the seasons of the Earth, thereby introducing the science of the changing seasons.

In line with the anti-pandemic measures of the Macao SAR Government, all visitors are required to wear a mask, take a temperature check, scan the site QR Code of MSC and disinfect their hands with alcohol-based hand sanitizers before entering. MSC appreciates visitors' understanding and cooperation with the above measures, and hopes that visitors can wear masks throughout the activities and be aware of personal hygiene at all times. Visitors can disinfect their hands with the hand sanitizer at the entrance of MSC, in the exhibition gallery, and the Gift Shop.

Macao Science Center is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Monday to Sunday regardless of public holidays. It is closed on Thursdays and Lunar New Year's Eve.
