In order to help students make good use of their spare time to continue to learn science online during the fight against the pandemic, the Macao Science Center launched a new science popularization class on the YouTube channel of the MSC Online Educational Resource Platform and the MSC WeChat subscription on June 19 after announcing the suspension of its opening to the public. The platform is free of charge and is suitable for primary and secondary school students or people who are interested in science applications.

    The MSC Online Educational Resource Platform regularly presents a short science popularization and education video every day. The short videos cover a wide range of topics and keep pace with the times, such as the latest information on pandemic prevention, the basic knowledge and development of the Metaverse, practical online teaching of software applications, new knowledge of global science, the spirit of Chinese scientists and their scientific achievements, local fisheries and marine products, and an introduction to the organisms around the Center. At the same time, the Center will also invite experts and scholars from different fields to hold live online classes to share the latest industry information and enhance the interaction between the audience and the speakers.     Macao Science Center is closed to support the Macao SAR government for pandemic control. The reopening date will be announced later. The Center will continue to launch a series of science popularization and education videos with knowledge and fun on the Online Educational Resource Platform in the form of online seminars, interviews with experts, picture book stories and animations, so as to enrich the summer vacation of students.
