In response to the abatement of the COVID-19 pandemic in Macao, Macao Science Center (MSC) will resume opening to the public from August 2 (Tuesday). MSC will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will be open every day during the summer vacation until August 31. MSC has fully cleaned and disinfected all exhibits and equipment before reopening. 

The number of people entering the MSC Kids World, the galleries at the Exhibition Center, and the Planetarium will be controlled. Demonstrations, workshops, science theater, theater tours, and group booking services will be suspended. All audience will be seated at an appropriate distance from each other at the Planetarium. To prevent visitors from gathering, MSC will implement crowd control measures in public areas such as the Exhibition Center, the Planetarium, and the Gift Shop. During the stabilization period (August 2 to August 7), a nucleic acid test certificate or a negative test result certificate within three days from the sampling date must be presented, and the guidelines of the Mask Wearing Requirements issued by the Health Bureau must be followed. Visitors are advised to pay attention to the notices on site and follow the guidelines of the staff. 

All visitors are required to wear a mask, take a temperature check, scan the site QR code of MSC, and present a valid Macao Health Code before entering. Visitors to MSC must present a health code that is not red, have a normal body temperature, and disinfect their hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Visitors with fever and suspected respiratory infections will be denied admission and advised to seek immediate medical attention. MSC appreciates visitors' understanding of and cooperation with the above measures and hopes that visitors will be aware of personal hygiene at all times throughout the activities. If necessary, visitors can disinfect their hands with the alcohol-based hand sanitizers at the entrance, the galleries, and the Gift Shop of MSC.
