Macao Science Center Organizes a Visit to the “National Security Education Exhibition”

More than 30 members of the Board of Directors and employees of Macao Science Center visited the “National Security Education Exhibition” today (April 21). Through more than 350 valuable pictures and videos on display, they not only learned about the latest developments in national security and the achievements of Macao’s practice of “one country, two systems” but also gained an understanding of the significance of a holistic approach to national security in guiding the security and development of the country and the Macao SAR.

In order to cooperate on national security education, the Center will expand its Data Science Gallery and enrich the content. In particular, it will use interactive exhibits to deconstruct the battle between attack and defense in the network world and the process of hackers stealing information, inform visitors of the new developments in network security technology, and show them the key to preventing hacking and maintaining network security. In addition, the Center will host the “Stars Dream Chasing - Thematic Exhibition on Scientist Spirit” at the end of the month to introduce the “Two Bombs, One Satellite” independently researched and developed in the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China to maintain national security and build a modern national defense system as well as relevant representative figures and their historic contributions.

The Center will continue to actively cooperate with the SAR Government on its education and youth policies and in promoting popular science education by giving full play to the Center’s functions and advantages as a national popular science education base and will integrate resources from higher education institutions and several national key laboratories to enhance elementary and secondary school students’ interest and ability in learning science, strengthen career planning support for young people, and cultivate scientific innovation professionals for Macao.
