Trainees of the "Program for the Development of Scientific Innovation Talent of Youth Science and Technology Village" Are Actively Preparing for the Greater Bay Area Youth AI & Cybersec Challenge

In order to enhance teenagers' ability to apply artificial intelligence (AI) and their awareness of cybersecurity, Macao Science Center organized 56 trainees of the "Program for the Development of Scientific Innovation Talent of Youth Science and Technology Village" to participate in the "Greater Bay Area Youth AI & Cybersec Challenge". The Center has earlier provided various training courses and guidance for participants, with professional instructors teaching them the skills of using online tools to prepare their entries. All participants are now actively preparing for the competition. They often seek advice from the instructors, exchange ideas on the design and production of their entries, and strive to compete with the cybersecurity elites from Guangzhou and Hong Kong at their best.

The semi-final and final of the "Greater Bay Area Youth AI & Cybersec Challenge" will be held in Hong Kong in December this year and January next year, respectively. Co-organized by the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) of the Hong Kong Police Force and the Judiciary Police (PJ) of the Macao SAR Government, and supported by the Education Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government, the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) of Macao SAR Government, the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Hong Kong Institute of Science & Innovation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Guangzhou Artificial Intelligence Industrial Development and Promotion Association, the Macao Science Center, the Association of I.T. Leaders in Education (AiTLE) and the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers, the competition is dedicated to enhancing young people's digital literacy and cybersecurity awareness, making good use of artificial intelligence to improve their lives and grasping the development opportunities in the digital era.

Macao Science Center hopes to improve young people's digital literacy, cybersecurity awareness and ability to apply artificial intelligence to solve problems by encouraging trainees of the "Program for the Development of Scientific Innovation Talent of Youth Science and Technology Village" to participate in the "Greater Bay Area Youth AI & Cybersec Challenge". In the future, the Center will continue to cooperate with the SAR Government in talent training, actively collaborate with tertiary institutions and professional organizations, assist young people to equip themselves through various forms, and cultivate more cybersecurity elites for Macao.
