MSC will celebrate its 14th anniversary in December with a series of activities themed on aerospace technology to share the joy with the public. On December 19 (the opening anniversary of MSC) and December 20 (the establishment anniversary of the Macao Special Administrative Region), admission to the Exhibition Center of MSC will be free as usual, and the first 30 Macao resident visitors to each dome show at the Planetarium will also enjoy free admission with Macao identity cards. The highlights include the popular science exhibition with the title of “Searching for Infinity in the Sky and Exploring the Depths of the Sea - Scientific Disclosure Exhibition on Aerospace Technology and Navigation of China in Macao”, which will be held from now to December 9; the dome popular science lecture, which will be held in the Planetarium on December 2, inviting experts to reveal the secret of the Chang’E-5 Lunar Soil Sample; and a new dome show “Hazelnuts: In Search of the Perfect Planet 3D”, which will be released from December 16. From December 20 to January 2 next year, additional dome shows will be held at the Planetarium. Welcome to enjoy the dome shows or visit the long-term exhibition halls with themes such as biodiversity, smart technology, the spirit of Chinese scientists, sustainable development, and data science during the holidays.

On the afternoon of December 2, a series of astronomy popular science activities with the theme of “Starry Night” will be held in the Planetarium to reveal the secret of the Chang’e-5 Lunar Soil Sample. Professor Meng-Hua Zhu, deputy director of the Institute of Space Science of Macau University of Science and Technology and the State Key Laboratory of Lunar and Planetary Science, will introduce the scientific significance behind the Chang’e-5 probe and lunar samples to the public, and China’s achievements and contributions in lunar exploration. The lecture will be conducted in Mandarin. Registration is not required and admission is free. Free tickets will be distributed by the ticketing office of MSC on the day of the event.

Apart from the above-mentioned exhibitions and programs, Macao Science Center will hold a prize game on its WeChat subscription account from December 21 to 31. Participants will have the chance to win fabulous gifts. Welcome to participate in the activity.

To accommodate the special event, Macao Science Center will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on December 3 (Sunday). It is normally open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Monday to Sunday regardless of public holidays, and closed on Thursdays and Lunar New Year’s Eve.
