What is the Internet of Things (IOT)?
The term “Internet of Things” may be unfamiliar to everyone, but in fact, IOT has already penetrated various areas of our lives, such as electronic consumption cards, smart homes and smart wearable devices. The Internet of Things (which is translated as 「物聯網」 in Chinese), as the name implies, is the connection of various devices and equipment through the Internet to exchange information and issue commands to each other.
Imagine that billions of items in the world can sense, communicate and share information and they can be interconnected to a public or private IP network. These interconnected items frequently collect, analyze and utilize data in order to take action and provide rich and smart planning, management and decisions. This is what the world of IoT.
The Data Science - Internet of Things exhibition introduces the public to new technological developments and new knowledge in the information and communications industry through a variety of displays. The exhibition is divided into six sections: Look to the Future from the Present, 0 and 1 Overturn the World, Virtual Neighbors, Trans boundary "Language", Smart City, and Experiencing the Power of IoT, with more than 25 exhibits, hoping to educate and entertain the public with the application of information and communication industry and the impact of IoT on daily life and urban development.
